The divide between the top one percent of the wealthiest Americans and everyone else hasn't been this big for 80 years, since just before the Great Depression. And while working and middle class families are getting poorer, U.S. Congress let an extension in unemployment benefits lapse for the first time during a recession, while Bush-era tax cuts still save the average millionaire over a hundred thousand bucks a year.
