Clashes have taken place in several cities across Italy as police disperse students protesting against cuts in education funding. Students say they've been beaten by clubs and several protesters have been detained. Italy is the Eurozone's fourth largest economy, and one of the worst-hit by the economic crisis. Another troubled state - Greece - announced it can only manage without another portion of international aid until November.
